What Wood Are Our Saunas Made From
Our saunas are made from Nordic Pine and is a common wood used in saunas in Finland normally untreated. All wood has been thermally modified to create better resistance to decay and degradation. The saunas are a single layer around 38mm thick which provide excellent thermal properties. The Sauna benches are also made from Nordic Pine.
What Heaters do Our Saunas Come With?
Our electric saunas come with a 6kw Harvia sauna heater. Harvia is the largest producers of saunas worldwide and are known for their quality.
The Harvia 6KW sauna heater will have to be wired by a qualified electrician. the 6KW heater requires a slightly heavier cable which is a 6mm twin and earth with 26 amp and the fuse box. Please check with an electrician.
What’s Included In The Sauna Package?
All our Saunas come with an outdoor sauna room, two benches, bucket and ladle, sauna stones, thermometer, sand timer, roof slates, ladle for incense, Harvia 6kw sauna heater, outside trim, sauna label, hanger and sauna step. For installation screws, nails and a mallet are also provided.
Are The Saunas Easy to Assemble?
If you consider yourself a handyman, you will be able to erect the sauna yourself. Saunas come flat packed with clear instructions on how to assemble. We also provide a video for additional instructions. If you are stuck or unsure, we are only a phone call away.
If you are unsure or do not want to do this yourself, we are able to provide a build service for you but this will be at an additional cost. A local builder will also be able to assemble if you are situated to far from our base.
We Suggest An Oil or Stain for Greater Longevity.
Our saunas will last a long time if looked after. We suggest a stain on the outside of the sauna to help protect from NZ harsh conditions. We also provide care instructions for your sauna to help ensure they will last.
